Carmen Avalos, M.D.
Senior Program Manager
Carmen is a program manager for the Evaluation and Technical Assistance Center for the national initiative on Building a Medical Home for Multiply Diagnosed HIV Homeless Populations. She coordinates and manages a multi-site evaluation and support center by providing technical support to the team.
Carmen has over a decade of experience in clinical and behavioral research in nutrition, cancer prevention, and HIV/AIDS. Prior to joining the Health & Disability Working Group, she worked at Thomas Street Health Center, one of the largest free standing HIV clinics in the U.S.
Carmen holds a B.S. and an M.D. from the Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala.
