Alexis Marbach is a program manager for the HRSA funded Dissemination and Evaluation Center (DEC), charged with adapting, replicating, and evaluating 4 interventions addressing linkage and retention in HIV primary care.

For the past 7 years, Alexis has focused her work in program planning, implementation, and evaluation, specializing community health and violence prevention initiatives. Prior to joining HDWG, Alexis has been nationally recognized for her trainings and work in the field of primary prevention of sexual and intimate partner violence. Previous projects include implementation of the Green Dot bystander intervention model in California, using an empowerment evaluation approach in the CDC funded Domestic Violence Prevention Enhancements and Leadership Through Alliances, Focusing on Outcomes for Communities United with States (DELTA FOCUS) project, and serving as a member of the BU School of Public Health Evaluation Task Force to examine evaluation in the higher education setting.

Alexis is a founding member of and yoga therapist for The Breathe Network, a national network of holistic health practitioners who work with survivors of sexual violence. She works with clients in one-on-one settings to mitigate the physical and emotional impacts of trauma, chronic stress, anxiety, and depression and provides trainings to social service providers and yoga teachers on ways to integrate a trauma-informed yoga approach when working with their clients.
